ISABEL MARANT POUR H&M silk dress ⎪ LOAVIES biker jacket
H&M bag ⎪ CONVERSE sneakers ⎪ CELINE sunglasses

First bare legs of the year! Also: wearing my Isabel Marant Pour H&M dress for the first time! I couldn't get my hands on it at the collection launch back in November, but I hunted that damn thing down on the internet until I finally stumbled upon it two months later. I wore this outfit for a Saturday of studying at the library. Dressing up nicely is kind of my only happy sparkle left on days when I don't study at home... When I'm locked in my apartment, I try to survive in extremely sparkle-less sweatpants and tasteless iced coffee from the supermarket next door. I don't mean to bore you with talking about studying today (plenty of complaining to come in the next few weeks!), so I hope you're having a great and especially hot and sweaty Monday!

TOPSHOP cotton beach shirt ⎪ BIRKENSTOCK Florida by Papillio leopard sandals

STOP! SUMMERTIME. Say hello to my new beach uniform: a very oversized crisp white cotton shirt and... a pair of Birks. Yes, I have been defeated and agressively suppressed by my inner fashion victim! But let me explain for a moment. A few months ago I carelessly joined some kind of competition on Fashiolista, which I instantly forgot about afterwards. Turned out I won the darn thing, and my prize consisted of a fabulous and shiny Samsonite suitcase and a €250 Topshop giftcard! And when life gives you giftcards...

You buy bold stuff. These leopard babies, in my opinion real cool and more elegant than the popular Arizona ones, immediately caught my eye a while ago but were sold out for quite some time. When suddenly my size was available again, I clicked them home and found them extremely comfortable and sort of pretty as well! Some of you might agree, most of you probably won't, but in any case you'll see them again real soon because they're all my feet can bear on hot days like these. What's your judgement? Grand style or grandma style?

OLIVE c/o tunic  ⎪ LEVI'S shorts  ⎪ MANGO bag  ⎪ H&M hat
BIRKENSTOCK Florida slippers  ⎪ IKKS c/o belt  ⎪  CELINE sunglasses

As you can see, I got tired of studying and took off for an imaginary trip to the nearest French Rivièra, also known as the Botanic Garden in Antwerp. We had a very pleasant preview of summer last week and after a mini tan-session I took out the bare legs again! Nothing feels more uncomfortable and epic at the same time as going bare-legged for the first time after a long winter, right? The same goes for the Birkenstocks, by the way. On one hand I feel like I forgot to take off my home slippers (and like everyone's judging me for it), but on the other I love the leopard print and I'm simply walking on clouds. So let's say I'm more in the epic zone than in the uncomfortable one! This boho blouse by Olive and the fringed Mango bag finish the whole ensemble that immediately transports me to the South of France. Only two more months to go before I'm actually living on baguettes and salade niçoise again... But first: exam tomorrow!

IKKS c/o leather jacket ⎪ SELECTED c/o sweatshirt ⎪ ZARA boyfriend jeans
MULBERRY bag ⎪ CELINE sunglasses ⎪ ADIDAS sneakers via OMODA

Yesterday a Genesis flood-worthy stream of rain entered my hallway, after which I went outside and got completely soaked above the ankles as well. EW, RAIN. That's why I'm celebrating today with sunny outfit pictures! These were taken quite some time ago (because I'm organized like that) and were waiting patiently to be published on the right moment. Which is now! Yay! As you've probably noticed in these four pretty lame sentences, I'm tired as hell and don't have anything news-worthy to tell you. On Monday I had my first exam, which went...okay. Grammar is not one of my favourite subjects and I was quite swept away by the amount of questions (14!) and the time I needed to finish them (3h!). It will be alright, but meh is not the kind of feeling you want to kick off your exam period with, right? Luckily these outfit pictures remind me of fun and sunny days with friends, so let's get back to the happy mood! Oh, and I'm very much in love with my sweater-shirt-something, my Adidas pals and this ahmahzing buttery soft leather jacket by IKKS. Ok thx bye!

PS: Want to win free duo tickets for the Retrorama Vintage Festival at Brussels Expo THIS weekend? Just use the hashtag #retroramapoliennegiveaway on either Twitter or Instagram, or comment here if you have neither of these! I will pick 4 winners on Thursday evening. Good luck!

H&M straw hat ⎪ VILA striped dress ⎪ ANTIK BATIC blouse ⎪ SEALOE coffee cup
JEROME DREYFUSS bag ⎪ KAREN WALKER sunglasses ⎪ H&M slides ⎪ VILA dress

Hi gals! When I was falling asleep over one of the books of my endless to-read-for-exam list, I suddenly remembered that I had prepared a summer wishlist to share with you! Imaginary summer shopping sounds like a lot more fun than reading 19th century novels, right? Just kidding actually, they're the reason why I'm studying literature. Now, I behaved quite well for the last couple of months and have only shopped a few items that I really really love. But now with sales starting next month I'm quite eager on getting my hands on some of these beauties! This summer I'd like to stroll around with a bohemian chic vibe, which means loads of white combined with a subtle print, larg straw hats and glamourous details. So, what's on my current wishlist? These H&M slides have been hunting me for quite a while now, but unfortunately they're sold out in any of my nearby H&M stores... Wouldn't they look marvelous with a simple white shirt, some ripped denim shorts and an oversized straw beach bag? The same goes for this beautiful white VILA dress that is sold out on Asos already (but still available on the VILA shop!). I think I might give in... But what about those dreamy pastel shades or that mouth watering Jerôme Dreyfuss bag? What's your favourite?

H&M silk shirt ⎪ NEW LOOK c/o cropped jeans ⎪ C&A c/o leopard bag ⎪ Sooco schoenen c/o snake slipons

Meet my new favourite study-proof hairdo, guys! Since the great chop it's not that easy to attach my hair without any bobby pins, and as loose strings make me extremely nervous I really need a hair style that keeps the hair out of my face/eyes/mouth and makes sure it stays out of it for hours. I never really thought a braid would stay with my short locks, but surprise surprise! And have you noticed the braid ending in the cutest cutie bun ever!? After spraying the living hell out of it, this braid usually stays quite long, PLUS I have glorious waves afterwards! Now, on to the pictures. During my exams I always stay at my parents, which usually means rustic photo backdrops and gorgeous weather. "Exams" also means loads of sweatpants alternated with casual chic outfits. I wore something really easy here, but decided to top it off with a leopard and snake print clash! These gorgeous suede snake slip-on sneakers are just a dream to combine with. They go with any ripped denim, white flowy dresses and a badass total black look. Can't get enough. Find them here! And how are you guys doing? Any of you feeling my exam nerves? Or are you preparing for a real relaxed weekend?

ZARA grey top & necklace ⎪ MANGO ripped boyfriend jeans
OASAP sunglasses⎪ RIB&HULL c/o bag⎪ BIRKENSTOCK florida slippers

Attention attention, student coming through! I had no time whatsoever for real outfit pictures since every hour of the day is currently filled with studying and tanning like cray, BUT I quickly snapped yesterday's look during lunch break at university. I really wish I could've extensively photographed this, in my opinion, very minimalistic but comfy chic outfit, because it's exactly how I want to spend my 2014 summer days! Slouchy things are always my first pick in the morning, especially when they're made of luxurious looking materials. Add destroyed white denim and a pair of bad ass leopard birks and I'm good to go. Which is exactly what I'm going to do now: go! The books and my gorgeous new bikini are waiting for me in the garden. Have a lovely Saturday and bank holiday on Monday! Oh, and don't forget your SPF, kids.

H&M knit, bag & rings ⎪ ZARA boyfriend jeans ⎪ SPRINGFIELD c/o scarf
MISS GUIDED UK sandals ⎪ IKKS c/o belt ⎪ CELINE sunglasses

Holaaaa amigos! We're experiencing some gorgeous weather over here AND I only have two exams to go! Reasons enough to be jolly today, don't you think? This 25° weather is my favorite kind to dress up, since boyfriend jeans, a loose tee and a pair of sandals might just be my number one spring/summer uniform. It's the perfect outfit to study at the library without overheating and without exposing too much flesh (after all people should concentrate on their books, not on your cleavage). This knit tee by H&M is really a bargain I can recommend: I believe it's €14,99 (this one? I got it in size L!), has the perfect slouchy fit AND is in store right now! You must admit that it looks great with some distressed denim and a pretty aztec summer print, right? I bet I will wear it to pieces the coming months! Alright gals, back to the books now x

Don't forget to hit that "attend" button on Facebook, and hope to see you there!

H&M sweatshirt ⎪ VILA c/o lace skirt ⎪ MANGO sunglasses
BIRKENSTOCK Florida slippers ⎪ CHLOE bag (similar)

Hi guys! I'm currently studying for my very last exam, which is tomorrow! Actually I didn't study that much yesterday evening, since our Belgium soccer team just won its first World Cup match! All the reasons to be happy and proud, even though I'm usually not the biggest sports connaisseur. Anyway, here is what I wore a little while ago, just before being locked up in my study cave for weeks and weeks. I've been dying to finally wear this combination: the sporty oatmeal coloured sweatshirt and dreamy little lace skirt go so well together! My very first and still very favourite designer bag could of course not miss this nude party. The outfit feels dressed down and dressed up at the same time, wouldn't it be for the Birkenstocks of course. I obviously know that I could've picked a way more elegant or flattering pair of shoes for this look, but since I'm quite living out of my suitcase at the moment (I study at my parents' sometimes) I didn't have anything else available. Once you go flat, you never go back! Except for back to the books that is, and next time I promise to finally really try and shut up about my finals. Have a wonderful day guys!

THEM SANDALS

OASAP jacket ⎪ H&M top & necklace ⎪ ZARA jeans
MANGO bag ⎪ SAM EDELMAN sandals

Hi guys! My exams are FINALLY over and I did loads of celebrating already! Think drinking loads of wine, watching the World Cup, sleeping for hours and hours, eating cotton candy at the annual fair, hosting another closet sale and drinking more wine. There's still loads of fun things on my agenda, such as having a Harry Potter marathon with geek-girlfriends, a short trip to France next week and drinking wine. Happy much! What also made me really happy this week is the fact that I all of a sudden rediscovered a bag full of summer sandals that I probably stored away for winter last year but totally forgot about. Hiiiiii there, lovely Sam Edelman sandals! Found these right in time, since I was planning a shoe shopping spree ("I have no summer sandals!!") really soon. These babies will be glued to my feet this summer, I'm sure. Sorry for the 'crappy' pics by the way, my brother borrowed my camera so I had to turn to my old compact camera. Not the most ideal circumstances, but hey here's another outfit for you! Enjoy your Sunday!

NEW IN: GEOX

I think my bag addiction has been extending to a shoe addiction lately… And not just any shoes: comfy flat shoes! I haven't bought heels in months (or even years?) but am still using my "they're flat so you can obviously buy!"-rule. This means that my flat shoe collection is getting bigger every month, up to this point that I have to pile them up due to lack of space. But since I can't refuse a wonderful little present, I warmly welcomed these Geox fellas into the family. The exotic flower print is absolutely perfect for summer and the straw detail might even be my favourite part of the shoe. I strongly recommend you to check out their current summer and new autumn collection, since it's surprisingly good! Geox is seriously getting on trend with their collections, and is far from that dull anti-sweat old people brand it used to be. My point is easily proven by these gorgeous sandals, chunky boots and colourful slip-ons. Are you convinced as well?

ZARA cashmere cardigan + boyfriend jeans ⎪ H&M striped top
RIB&HULL c/o bag ⎪ CELINE sunglasses ⎪ MISSGUIDED sandals

Keeping up the marine theme with both a striped top and a Titanic reference today! Plus, I'm writing this while in Paris, which is the cherry on top of this French inspired outfit. The last few months I'm having an intense love relationship with these boyfriend jeans I got last year, or actually with every boyfriend fit pants I own. These things are just too darn comfy and are the perfect non-tacky equivalent of your average track pants. Besides a good pair of jeans, you only need a striped top, some cashmere and a high-quality leather bag to get the typical French look. Okay, my Céline sunglasses might add a je ne sais quoi touch as well...

Oh, and I also wanted to show you my 'new' fresh hair! The blonde ends turned quite yellow because of an unexpected sunshine overload (yes, in Belgium!) and needed to be toned down. My hairdresser used a darker colour shampoo for a very natural effect that will lighten up a bit more in the next few weeks. Alright guys, gotta leave to grab my Thalys now! I'll tell you all about my France stories real soon. Au révoir!

TO ANGERS WITH COINTREAU

H&M bag ⎪ CELINE sunglasses ⎪ ZARA heels

Earlier this week I went on a two-day trip to Angers in the West of France to discover the wonderful world of Cointreau! I wasn't too familiar with the orange liqueur, but I extensively prepared myself for this journey by trying out several Cointreau Fizz drinks after my exams. Definitely approved! Cointreau invited us to this glorious château hotel in the middle of nowhere, which served as our operating base to visit the city of Angers and the original Cointreau distillery. I will soon tell you all about these excursions and of course our workshop, where I discovered delicious flavours I never knew I'd like (Cointreau with paprika and ginger, someone?). But today it's time to show you this beautiful Vika Gazinskaya for & Other Stories dress! The romantic location with views over the valley was just right for this outfit, don't you think? I'm a real casual girl so dress code elegant chic is usually quite the struggle for me. Luckily this super wide frock doesn't need much accessorizing, which keeps the rather chic outfit very me. Now, have I triggered your interest for more posts about this trip? More outfits and travel diaries coming up soon! Oh, and I'm happy to share that I passed all my exams :) Hello three months of vacation… Happy Monday!

WOMEN'SECRET c/o night shirt ⎪ ZARA jeans ⎪ MICHAEL KORS watch
H&M pool slides ⎪ CELINE sunglasses ⎪ BALENCIAGA bag

Hi folks! When you're reading this I'm packing my bags for a super exciting 4 day trip to Rock Werchter! But no worries, you can follow my adventures on Instagram AND I prepared loads of fun posts for you to read! But first it's time to show you more about another trip: the one to Angers with Cointreau. You've seen a first glimpse of it in my last post, but todays' will show you all of our activities. Let's start with the outfit of the day! With dress code comfy casual I went for my usual ripped boyfriend jeans and this real cool checked night shirt turned day shirt. Also: how pretty are these H&M pool slides?! They're a great steal for only €19,99 and will look so so chic during my Côte d'Azur trip later in July.

Let's talk travel now! Together with partners in crime Amélie, HiskePatricia, EllenJulie, NathalieTanguy and Francine I took the train all the way to Angers, after which we immediately celebrated our arrival by a Cointreau Fizz (the first of many to come). We were welcomed by the Cointreau Heritage Manager Alfred Cointreau, who would guide us throughout our entire trip. First thing on our program was visiting the medieval Château d'Angers, which dates back from the 13th century. As a literature student and Middle Ages lover my interest was immediately triggered when I heard the castle houses the biggest and oldest collection of tapestries, among which the longest one in the world: Tapisserie de l'Apocalyps (103m!). Pretty cool yo! What made me even more excited, was that as Cointreau's special guests we were invited to visit a 10th century underground chapel that is not accessible for visitors! In this chapel we found a key that led us to one of the towers of the castle, which used to serve as a prison room. Here we were welcomed by a tiny bar that served us the oldest and traditional Cointreau cocktails! How exclusive can it get?!

In the evening we dined at Le Dix Septième, which I totally recommend if you'd ever visit Angers! After dinner we showed solidarity to the French brand and cheered for the French national team at the World Cup in Alfred Cointreau's hotel room. Not without a nice Cointreau Fizz, of course.

Time for day two! We went to discover Cointreau's distillery, which actually looked GORGEOUS. I can totally see a Vogue shoot happening at that location. My camera and I were pretty happy, as you can tell!

Then we finally came to the (for me) most important part of the visit: tasting and creating our own Cointreau drinks! First we attended Cointreau class, in which we learned all about the producing process and the right sort of orange peels. Of course we had to turn all of this theory into practice during a fun workshop! Alfred Cointreau showed us some extraordinary flavour combinations, like the Cointreau with paprika and ginger I told you about in my last post. We invented our own creations, which included loads of berries, pineapple, cinnamon and elderflower. I can't wait to start inventing more combinations at home!

At the end of the day I received my Cointreau Academie certificate (the cutest class photo included) and a personalized bottle of Cointreau! I'M OFFICIALLY A PRO NOW!

I hope that you enjoyed my little Angers photo diary and that you're curious for more Cointreau now! You'll get to see one more outfit and a little tour around our fabulous hotel. Talk to you soon!

YVES ROCHER CHERRY OIL

It's been a while, but today I'm talking beauty! By now you all know that I'm quite the beauty noob but that I am definitely interested in products that help me shine in an easy, natural and quick way. I love subtle textures, a fresh glow and natural colours, and the new Yves Rocher cherry oil lipstick line perfectly meets these requirements. Because of the cherry oil my lips feels super moisturized without being/looking too glossy or sticky, plus the colours are pretty amazing. I have been immensely spoiled by Yves Rocher, so I haven't nearly tried all of them, but my current favourites are Tangerine, Rouge Groseille and most definitely Rose Grenadine (same order in the photos). These lipsticks can't be absent in my summer beauty kit, for they will immediately finish my natural glowy holiday look with an intense touch. Can't wait to try the darker colours in autumn, by the way. Yup, I'm a fan! Have you tried the cherry oil collection already?

VILA dress ⎪ MANGO sandals

This is unfortunately the last post already of my trip to Angers with Cointreau! I've saved the photos of the stunning hotel and a matching outfit for today to give you one last smashing impression of the entire trip. This Pride and Prejudice-worthy location lend itself perfectly for an apéritif in this gorgeous snake maxi dress by VILA and with a Cointreau Fizz with fresh cherries from the garden. I'm usually not the girl to show loads of cleavage so this dress is already a HUGE deal for me...which sounds really stupid now that I type it. Of course the cleavage is decently compensated by the covering length of the dress, but I should probably dress up more sexy sometimes. Anyway, please enjoy my little photo report of Château de Noireaux! Yes, that's a breakfast terrace overlooking the valley and YES, that's a private labyrinth. Hands down coolest hotel ever.

Hi guys! Today I'm sharing something special, namely a test shoot I did with two friends! Although modeling is my part-time job, I sometimes still do test shoots to have cool new pictures in my portfolio. My friend Valerie is studying photography and needed new photos for a project, so I obviously agreed to join her in this shoot. My sister-in-law Silke happens to be working in the make-up industry, so in the end it became a real cozy little get-together! These are the results of our graphic shoot! What do you think? (By the way I came home from Rock Werchter yesterday and I'm completely K.O., but I'll show you my adventures real soon!)

Long time no see, guys! After that super tiring but extremely FUN weekend at Rock Werchter I decided to have some more Out Of Office Time for myself and the boyfriend. Plus, the weather has been really crap so I couldn't even go outside to shoot a new outfit. I did go outside to do my bi-annual COS' sales section visit! These two basic but gorgeous jumpers came home with me at an irresistible 50% off. COS is most definitely my favourite store for knits: the quality is pretty impeccable and although everything looks quite basic, there are always some special details or extraordinary materials used. Oh, and oversized, always oversized. The peach knit will be a dear friend for chilly summer nights, while the black one will serve me well when autumn kicks in in a few months. Yup, happy knit-collector over here! Have you scored some sale items already or did you give in to those appealing new collection pieces?

MINIMALISTIC SUMMER LOOKS

$

My style has been evolving a lot towards a sporty, slightly minimalistic look and so far I've managed to keep this look through winter and spring. But in summer, somehow my style radar gets confused and I always feel like I dressed up looking like a tourist. While shopping I get distracted by loads of colours, happy prints and most definitely the boho inspired pieces. Think white lace frocks, broderie details, slouchy western boots and wide floppy hats! Let's just say I usually transform into a Coachella-copy chick (minus the flower crown) when it starts to get hot outside. Nothing wrong with that, but I would like to see myself continuing that minimalistic and edgy look in my summer wardrobe for once. California-toned-down-something?

Here's a bunch of inspiration on what I would love to wear when strolling around in the Côte d'Azur next week! I've already started thinking about what to pack for this two week holiday and so far my list is pretty HUGE. I definitely have more summer outfit options than I realized and it's hard to part from them considering that these two weeks will probably be the only chance of wearing them this summer... I've added loads of ripped denim, white shirts, loose dresses and comfortable pool slides to my list, but what more should I bring? What is your to-go holiday piece that you can re-use endlessly? And what about dressing up nice for dinner (something I usually miserably fail to do)? I can't wait to read your packing tips!
